Swing vs. short-term

horizon, holding period

How long you plan to hold a position changes which signals matter. A swing trade needs an established trend; a short trade mostly needs momentum.

In the screenerSwing: hold about 10–20 trading days, expiry 30–45 days out, at-the-money strike. Short-term: hold 1–5 trading days, the next Friday expiry with at least 14 days left (14–18 DTE), strike slightly in the money. Short-term weighs momentum and volume more and ignores the long-term EMA200 filter. One click in the app switches between them.
